With her drive and relationships in the industry, Valery worked with the major players from Hollywood, Advertising and the high-tech industry -- everyone from Sony, Game Show Network, Showtime, ICM, Columbia/TriStar and Paramount to Microsoft, America OnLine, Net Perceptions and AFI’s Enhanced Television Workshop where she served as a mentor to budding interactive television content producers. While successful in her digital entertainment technology career, Valery’s heart always longed for something “more”. She would often laugh and say she still didn’t know what she wanted to be when she “grew up”. Her idol was the semi-fictional character “Auntie Mame”, an eccentric woman who stood centered in the truth of who she was and lived a rich delicious life as the hero of her opportunities and mentored others – including her friends in the creative arts and nephew Patrick – to do the same. She realized that if she wanted to change her life, live ‘on purpose’ with renewed passion she would have to change the way she showed up in her life, shift the way she thought about who she was and what she could do, and honor what her heart was calling her to become. It was at that moment of awareness that Valery embarked on her remarkable journey of self-discovery, awareness and personal power that revealed the wizard-like power of authentic truth, intuition and inspiration that lies within each person. Tapping into this power enabled Valery to live authentically and enjoy an “Auntie Mame” lifestyle. This journey included Master level training in NLP, EFT, certification in CORE Multidimensional Awareness Profile Facilitation and to the development of her own methodology to teach others how to get out of their own way and become the hero of their opportunities instead of victims of their circumstance. Humor is integral to her process. Laughter provides distance. It allows people to step back from the events and circumstances of their lives, form new perspectives and then move on to create more to enjoy rather than to create inner disharmony and anxiety. Playing with the metaphor of Dorothy’s self-awareness journey to find the “Wizard of Oz” (Frank Baum) only to find that what she wanted was within her all the time, Valery has created a program to tap into the powerful Wizard within everyone – the voice of intuition and inspiration - who acts as a personal guidance system to turn dreams into reality. Clients learn how to face their insecurities and overcome them with the grace, strength, and dignity to empower themselves to live the life that is their purpose, passion and birthright. Valery is happily married to Photographer and Cinematographer, Al Satterwhite. She has two cats that were adopted during the animal rescue efforts during Hurricane Katrina. She takes pleasure in cooking, travel and spending time with her family. Valery is enjoys a fabulous life filled with passion, purpose, harmony, love and laughter.
